Operating experience, so far, on asphalt and on ice (from +10 to -7). We carried out comparative tests with a friend with Nordman 4 (We have the same cars, tire dimensions too). The price they have is almost the same, but the dispute we have one of the eternal sticky or spikes)))
Here is our subjective opinion:
1) RS is much quieter than Nordman 4
2) RS behave better on dry and especially frozen asphalt (Braking, controllability, but the advantage is insignificant)
3) In braking and acceleration, in a straight line on the ice, no serious differences in the rubber were found.
4) Starting a car in a side skid (on ice) is easier on the RS than on a quadruple, and taking the car out of the skid is also easier on the quad.
In general, tires adequately and smoothly go into a skid on the ice, however, and also will lazily return to the path that the driver wants. So I recommend that everyone first feel the possibility of rubber immediately after running.
Snow and low temperatures have yet to be tested, I will add this review later.
I liked the tires. I recommend in this price category, mainly for urban use, as well as for intercity.

They write a lot about pressure, my opinion is that the pressure should be as provided by your car, do not try to be smarter than people who do it professionally. I am not a tire professional, but I think that with the recommended tire pressure, the optimum contact patch, rubber stiffness, adhesion properties and durability are ensured. After all, all rubber tests are carried out at recommended pressures ... and, of course, there should be the same pressure on all wheels!
P.S. Low pressure is used in heavy road conditions on all-terrain vehicles ... thereby increasing grip, but at low speeds! and briefly! Only to overcome the heavy sections of the road. And all this affects the resource of tires.

Skated 2 sets of such rubber (80 thousand). The first set was still Nokian RS in 2008, the second one was already bought as Nordman RS in 2011. The first set was finished in the summer, everything was OK. Now I finish second, also in summer everything is OK. For this winter, probably again buy the same tires. And then she got used to it and I noticed that I was going where others were grinding, that naked ice was not so terrible that I was going on average 10-20 km / h faster, that I did not steer on the track all the time, but calmly kept the steering wheel in one a position that, on an asphalt track, no longer hurls me like a boat from a cruiser, or rather, there is no track for me anymore.
And there is no hellish noise, as from spike rubber. Now a little warmer, the roads will melt and the heart will not bleed to death until April, spiked to clatter on the bare, wet asphalt.
In short, satisfied and recommended.
